TUES, May 5: Arrive in Dublin, Tour Orientation, Welcome Dinner

Welcome to Dublin! Upon arrival, you will be transferred from the airport to your centrally located hotel. Take the afternoon to relax at the hotel or enjoy an afternoon walk on your own. Join the Tour Orientation in the early evening to meet your fellow travelers, local guide and learn more about the tour. Then, enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a specially selected restaurant that captures the true taste of Ireland featuring local seafood and meats

WED, May 6: Dublin Historical City Walking Tour, National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology

Feel the Dublin buzz today! Framed by mountains and edged by a beautiful bay, Dublin’s streets are filled with vibrant historic buildings, cobblestone streets, hip cafes, 18th century parks and traditional Irish pubs. Stroll through the city and discover its history through iconic sites: Dublin Castle, Christ Church Cathedral and St. Stephen’s Green Park. In the afternoon, explore 9000+ years of history at the National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology. Learn about settlers from the Ice Age through the Celtic Iron Age to Medieval Ireland. This museum houses some of the most important archaeological objects in Ireland & Europe.

THURS: May 7: Trinity College, The Book of Kells Experience, Guinness Storehouse, Temple Bar District, Irish Dance Party

Founded in 1592, Trinity College Dublin is Ireland’s oldest university. It is home to one of Ireland’s greatest cultural treasures - the Book of Kells, an original 9th century lavishly decorated manuscript with the four Gospels of the New Testament. It is believed the Books of Kells was originally created off the coast of Scotland and travelled to Kells, Ireland in the early 9th century. View the book housed in the Long Room, one of the most famous and beautiful library halls in the world. It holds about 200,000 books under a dramatic barrel-vaulted ceiling. It is often described as something straight out of Harry Potter (although it wasn’t filmed there). Nothing says you’ve been to Ireland than the Guiness Storehouse, home of the world’s most famous stouts. This is an immersive experience and not your typical brewery tour! In the evening, stroll through Temple Bar District - one of Dublin’s most historic and lively neighborhoods known for its vibrant nightlife. Enjoy an Irish music & dance party in Temple Bar. Experience true Irish sprit tonight!

FRI, May 8: Depart Dublin, Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens, Arrive Kilkenny, Walking Tour of Kilkenny

Today, en route to Kilkenny discover Ireland’s proud horse racing heritage with a visit to the beautiful Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens. Meet the thoroughbred stallions. mares and foals. Explore the Stud’s prized grounds and their spectacular Japanese Gardens - some of the finest in Europe.

This experience brings to life the world of these magnificent animals. In the afternoon, arrive Kilkenny, one of Ireland’s most charming and historic small cities. It blends medieval architecture, merchant houses, creative arts and lively pubs in a compact and walkable city.

SAT, May 9: Depart Kilkenny, Kilkenny Castle, Hawkeye School of Falconry, Arrive Waterford

Kilkenny Castle is one of Ireland’s most impressive and best-preserved historic landmarks. It is the centerpiece of Kilkenny’s medieval charm. Tour the castle - a 12th century Norman fortress built by the powerful Butler family, one of Ireland’s most influential dynasties. Today, the castle is largely a Victorian remodeling of the original defensive castle. It boasts beautifully restored interiors and stunning grounds including a rose garden, lake and woodlands. After lunch, head to Hawkeye School of Falconry, a family-run school dedicated to the ancient art of falconry (sometimes called ‘the sport of kings’). Begin with a lesson about falconry and then learn to interact with the hawks, owls and other raptors. The feeling of an apex predator landing on your gloved hand is truly an unforgettable experience! Arrive in Waterford this evening.

SUN, May 10: Hook Lighthouse, Waterford Triangle & Medieval Museum, House of Waterford Crystal Factory

Hook Lighthouse is the oldest intact operational lighthouse in the world. Set on a peninsula surrounded by open sea on three sides, it has been guiding ships for centuries through waters where the sea currents meet incoming river flows.
Originally built in the early 13th century as a medieval tower, the lighthouse is approximately 800 years old. Learn about its maritime heritage in Ireland and walk to the top of the lighthouse for dramatic coastal views. In the afternoon, visit the Waterford Viking Triangle and Medieval Museum. Waterford was founded by the Vikings about 914 AD. Listen to the guide tell stories of how Waterford developed over the centuries from a Viking settlement to a major medieval port. This area is packed with ancient buildings, cobbled streets and tales of longboats, warriors and easy urban life in medieval Ireland. Visit the Medieval Museum that houses a collection of rare and unique medieval artifacts, cloth gold vestments and Viking swords. Finish the day at the Waterford Crystal Factory where crystal is manufactured, sculpted and engraved. Watch craftsmen at work produce the cut crystal pieces for which Waterford is famous.

MON, May 11: Depart Waterford, Copper Coast Drive, James Midleton Whiskey Distillery, Arrive Cobh, Cobh Heritage Museum

This morning, take in the splendor of the Copper Coast designated as the first geopark in Ireland. With a history of over 460 million years, it is a place of geological, natural and historical importance. The exposed rocks are sedimentary layers of ancient lava flow and glacial deposits. Take in the dramatic cliffs, rocky headland, sea stacks, coves and beaches along the way. Then, arrive at James Midleton Distillery where the art of making Irish whiskey is brought to life. Visit the old distillery buildings, the water-wheel and warehouses. Learn about Irish whiskey heritage and taste samples of their products. Later in the day, arrive in Cobh. Cobh is a charming waterfront town dotted with brightly colored houses and a lovely harbor overlooked by a splendid cathedral (once called Queenstown). It holds the story of Irish emigration where 3 million people departed from its port. Cobh was also the final port of call for the RMS Titanic before it embarked on its ill-fated voyage. Wander through the Cobh Heritage Museum to explore great human interest stories.

TUES, May 12: Depart Cobh, Cork English Market, Macroom Buffalo Cheese Farm, Arrive Killarney

Arrive in Cork to visit the English Market, one of Europe’s oldest and most iconic covered food markets. It boasts a strong tradition of family-run stalls passed down through generations combining old world charm with modern artisan foods. After lunch, head to Blarney Castle famous for the Blarney Stone which is said to bestow the gift of gab to those who kiss it. The castle itself, built by Gaelic lords, is an example of 14th century architecture with beautiful gardens to explore. Afterward, make your way to Macroom Buffalo Cheese Farm, Ireland’s award-winning cheese producer. Witness the majestic water buffalo herds and learn about the family’s sustainable farming. Macroom produces soft burrata, ricotta, mozzarella and other cheeses made from 100% water buffalo milk. Tour the farm, meet the water buffalo and see cheese-making in action. In the later afternoon, arrive in Killarney.

WED, May 13: Killarney National Park E-Bike Ride, Jaunting Car Ride through the Gap of Dunloe, Arrive Dingle

Killarney National Park is one of Ireland’s most beautiful and historically rich landscapes - a mix of mountains, lakes, native woodlands, waterfalls, and wildlife. Today, take an easy E-bike ride through the park (an alternate activity will be offered for those who do not want to ride). Make a stop on the grounds of Muckross House & Gardens, a Victorian mansion on the shore of the lake. Stop at Torc Waterfall, a 65-foot waterfall surrounded by mossy forest. Later in the day, enjoy a jaunting car ride (a two wheeled carriage pulled by a horse) through the Gap of Dunloe - one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Ireland. The driver, called a jarvey, might tell stories, jokes and local legends while you take in the spectacular scenery. He is part entertainer. Tonight, arrive in Dingle.

THURS, May 14: Dingle Peninsula/Slea Head Drive, Explore Dingle, Irish Pub Music

Dingle is a seaside town on Dingle Peninsula on Ireland’s southwest coast. It’s known for dramatic Atlantic scenery, traditional Irish culture and music-filled pubs. Slea Head Drive is one of the most spectacular coastal routes in Ireland. Today, take a drive around the peninsula packed with ancient history, breathtaking scenery and traditional Irish villages. This is part of the Wild Atlantic Way, a stretch of the coastal touring route along the west coast of Ireland. The scenery is wild, remote and untamed. Afterward, explore Dingle with the guide and enjoy a lively classic pub scene featuring traditional Irish music - it will be a memorable night!

FRI, May 15: West Kerry Sheepdog Demo, Ferry Crossing to Killmer, Cliffs of Moher, Arrive Doolin

This morning, visit a working sheep farm on the Dingle Peninsula featuring Border Collies that collaborate as a team to herd sheep. This is one of Ireland’s oldest and most skilled rural traditions. Learn about the training, commands and instincts between human and dog that come together in an extraordinary display of precision and communication. The backdrop is the authentic windswept Irish countryside. Explore rural Irish farm life, an old-style cottage, a cozy turf fire, storytelling and perhaps an opportunity to pet or feed lambs. Afterward, drive northward to catch the ferry and arrive at the Cliffs of Moher. This is one of Ireland’s most iconic national landmarks - dramatic sea cliffs rising 700 ft over the Atlantic Ocean creating a dramatic, uninterrupted wall of rock. The cliffs are home to a variety seabirds (including puffins) and coastal flora. Afterward, arrive in Doolin for the night.

SAT, May 16: Depart for Galway, The Burren, Explore Galway, Dinner

Today, drive through the Burren on your route to Galway. The Burren is a region of limestone lunar-type landscape. This area was shaped over 350 million years ago through tectonic uplift and glaciation. The Burren has one of the highest densities of archaeological sites in Ireland. Human presence in the Burren goes back more than 6000 years. Then, arrive in Galway, Ireland’s cultural capital. Galway is a lively mix of history, arts, music and coastal scenery. The city center is full of charming cobbled lanes and alleys. Meander with your guide and discover its hidden gems. It is best explored on foot. Finish the day with dinner at one of Galway’s select Michelin star restaurants featuring farm-to-table cuisine.

SUN, May 17: Galway Culinary Tour, Free Time in Galway, Drop Off at Shannon Airport Hotel

Galway is considered a foodie destination. It has a reputation for creativity, local ingredients and a vibrant mix of traditional and modern food culture. Get inspired today by joining a culinary walking tour of the city. Understand why the gastronomy scene in Galway is a must-visit for travelers and food lovers.

You will be asked for a deposit of $2500 as part of the registration process. This can be paid by credit card when you register or by a bank transfer.

PAYMENT:

You will be sent an invoice for the balance payment. After February 5, 2026, registration requires full payment.  Tour payment must be made by bank transfer or check.

If you register with a promotion, the discount will be taken off the final invoice sent to you prior to February 5, 2026.

TOUR RESCHEDULING/CANCELLATION:

If you cancel the tour before the final payment, you will receive a refund less a $500 service charge per person. If you cancel the tour after the final tour payment, the payment is non-refundable. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to offset tour cancellation costs.

If Pack A Fork cancels the tour, a full refund will be sent.
